::NasI BriYanI::

Percubaan kali ke-empat making is hard since my hubby doesn’t eat spicy food….kali ni buat mild je la..senang jugak buat briyani ni..dgn adenye briyani mix..thanks to one of Bangladeshi student who teach me and other cooking class members how to make Briyani..

Ingredients (for 4 persons)
Chicken- 1/2kg
I packet of Briyani Masala
Onions-4 medium sized
Garlic and Ginger paste-1/2 cup
Raisin- 1/2 cup
Saffron, green chili, cinnamon (optional)
Basmati rice- 1/2 kg
Salt 1 table spoon
Oil- 200gm
Yogurt white- one cup

How to cook Briyani
Wash rice well and keep wet for 10 minutes…Put a pan on fire and pour oil. After 2 minutes fry chopped onion until brown..use 1/2 teaspoon salt and fry the rice with onion for 7-10 minutes..(don’t use water at all in this time)..keep the fried rice in a rice cooker and pour boiled water..water must be 6 cups for 3 cups of rice ( don’t forget to switch on the rice cooker)..

For the chicken..mix chicken, yogurt, briyani masala, ginger and garlic paste, little oil, 1 teaspoon salt, and all other spices together except onion and keep for 10 minutes…by this time put a pan on the fire and pour oil about 200gm and make it hot..put chopped onion in the oil and fried them until the color changed into brown..pour the spicy mixed chicken into the pan and keep on fire for 15 minutes…mix the chicken well and use some water (1/2 cup or more)..after 20-25 minutes from beginning, put off the fire..

When the rice and chicken are cooked, mix them well…now keep in the rice cooker for keeping hot and enjoy delicious BRIYANI!!!!
